How long should You hire a Wedding Videographer for?

Four to six hours of wedding coverage
Shorter coverage can work beautifully for an intimate wedding.

The ceremony.

Portraits.
Part of the celebration.
But there are usually moments you will not capture.
Getting ready.
Long conversations.
Dinner.
Speeches.
The party.
That does not mean shorter coverage is wrong.

Eight hours
Eight hours can allow for a much more complete story.
Depending on your schedule, it may cover part of the preparations, the ceremony and the beginning of the evening.
For many weddings, this can be a good balance.
Ten to twelve hours
For a full wedding day, longer coverage usually creates a more relaxed experience.
You do not have to constantly think:
Is the videographer still here?
Did they capture that?
Should we move this earlier?
The story can simply develop naturally from the beginning of the day into the energy of the evening.
What about the party?
The party is often underestimated.
The ceremony may be emotional.
But eventually, everyone relaxes.
Shoes come off.
Ties loosen.
Your friends become considerably less formal.

For destination weddings, the wedding itself is sometimes only one part of the experience.

Do not simply choose a number of hours.
Look at your actual wedding day.
When does the story begin?
What moments matter most?
When would you like the film to end?
Your wedding is not a spreadsheet.
But having a thoughtful timeline gives you the freedom to enjoy it.
